“We are the largest producer of medical isotopes in Europe.”

'I did a job for a previous employer at the Borselle facility. I found that highly interesting. When I spoke to others, it turned out there was a nuclear research center in North Holland. I never knew! I immediately started to look for vacancies and applied for positions. NRG is different. Work here is never boring, whether you are operating a reactor or performing experiments. We often rotate, so that people are always doing different things. Supervising the process, loading containers, or writing up a report – it’s all part of the job. Together we bear a lot of responsibility, and sometimes we say: “the closer you get to the dome, the more involved you are.” This reactor feels like it “belongs” to us. Everybody is proud of this company. Our High Flux Reactor, for example, is currently producing radio isotopes at maximum capacity. The numbers and running hours we produce make us the largest in Europe.'
