Traveling by car from the south (The Hague, Amsterdam):

• At junctions on the A4 (The Hague), the A2 (Utrecht) or the A1 (Amersfoort), follow the signs to Haarlem (A9) and then Alkmaar (A9).
• On the traffic circle that connects the A9 to the Alkmaar ring road (traffic circle Kooimeer; south of Alkmaar) follow the signs to Den Helder (N9).
• As soon as you see a dozen windmills to your right on the other side of the channel, pay attention: you have almost reached the Burgervlotbrug (bridge). Follow the signs to (ECN) Petten on the opposite side of the small traffic circle.
• Keep going until you see a camp site to your right.
• Take a right at the crossroads (small traffic circle).
• Keep going straight until you reach the entrance of the NRG and ECN site to the left of the road.

Public Transportation from Schiphol Airport to Petten:

• Take the train towards Amsterdam, making sure it stops at the “Amsterdam-Sloterdijk” station.
• At Amsterdam-Sloterdijk, take the train to Alkmaar/Den Helder;
• It is approximately 20 km by taxi from the Alkmaar station to Petten.
• For those taking public transportation: the Connexxion bus (Line 151) from Alkmaar will take you to Petten in about 30 minutes.
• Ask the driver to warn you when you reach the stop at the combined ECN/NRG entrance.

Public Transportation from Julianadorp to Petten
